WE ARE NOT SCARED - FERNINAND

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand isn't convinced Jose Mourinho's return to Chelsea will bring them any closer to title.

Ferdinand accepts that Mourinho's presence will add a little extra spice to tonight's Premier League clash with the Blues, but he believes it will take more than a big personality to scare anyone at Old Trafford. United finished some 14 points ahead of Chelsea last season as they were crowned Champions and could even afford to lose 1-0 to Chelsea last May.

Ferdinand is adamant that United are still the team to beat, despite a lack of transfer activity this summer and the change of management with David Moyes succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson, even though the bookmakers have installed Chelsea as the title favourites.

The former England star said: "The fact they have a new manager adds a new dynamic to the game. "Mourinho obviously has a big personality. He has been there before so he knows the league.

"He is newsworthy. It makes good reading for the public with him around. "Whether it helps them get closer to where we were last year remains to be seen. It willcertainly have no bearing on the way we approach the game."
