BAYERN MIGHT BID FOR WILSHERE

Arsenal may have to fend off interest from Bayern Munich for midfielder Jack Wilshere, as the Bavarian side line up a replacement for the injured Thiago Alcantara.

Bayern signed Thiago in an £18 million deal with Barcelona in July, beating Manchester United to the player in the process.
However the Spain international now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, having picked up a serious ligament injury in his new side's 2-0 win over Nurnberg on Saturday.
Following that result Bayern boss Pep Guardiola told reporters of his determination “to find a solution” with which to replace Alcantara.
With Bayern's midfielder ranks swelled with high quality players such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mario Gotze and Toni Kroos, it remains to be seen whether Guardiola will push through another summer transfer.
However one player the Spaniard is understood to admire is Arsenal's Wilshere.
Although Wilshere is tied to a long-term deal at the Emirates stadium, the Gunners could nonetheless have to deflect interest from Bayern.
The German side have already attracted criticism from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund for the way in which they tapped up Gotze, who joined before the two sides were due to meet in the Champions League final.
If the England international were to depart the Emirates stadium it would represent a second serious blow to the Premier League at large, with fellow top talent Gareth Bale also expected to leave the country and sign up with Real Madrid of Spain.
