RIBERY IS EUROPE'S BEST

 

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has been named the 2012/13 Uefa Best Player in Europe.
The Frenchman beat off competition from La Liga superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ribery played a pivotal role in Bayern’s treble last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 22 assists as they won the Champions League, the Bundesliga and the German Cup.
Messi was in attendance to see Ribery lift the trophy, but Ronaldo elected to snub the glitzy bash in order to play in a low-profile friendly for Real Madrid against Deportivo La Coruna.
