SPURS WILL LET BALE LEAVE WHEN REPLACEMENT ARRIVES

Gareth Bale will complete his world-record £86million move to Real Madrid as soon as Tottenham have signed his replacement.
Chairman Daniel Levy has agreed the deal to sell his PFA Player of the Year to Real, despite denials from Spurs.
Mystery surrounds reports that another club have entered the bidding for Bale.

Manchester United and Manchester City insist they have not come in for the player and Chelsea are pursuing other options.
There appears to be no foreign interest either, other than from Real.
Even if another club have declared their hand in the past 24 hours, Bale wants to join only Real. That agreement has been in place since Levy flew to Madrid with Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, and Tottenham’s director of football, Franco Baldini, last Wednesday.

The trio met Real president Florentino Perez and agreed Bale’s fee. Personal terms were already in place.

Levy was in the Spurs boardroom on Sunday for the win over Swansea after hours of talks with Real over Bale’s transfer. He is furious that Real have prepared a stage inside the Bernabeu for Bale’s presentation. Levy believes it to be a cynical attempt to speed up the deal and put pressure on Spurs to sell this week.
Instead, Levy will let Bale leave Spurs only when they have landed his replacement, Erik Lamela, who was left on the Roma bench for their win over Livorno in Italy on Sunday night.

He is Spurs’ main target after their botched £30m attempt to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala last week.
Spurs are also keen on Real Betis forward Alvaro Vadillo, who has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo.

Vadillo has a release clause of £17m but the Spanish club know they will not receive that amount because they are in administration. A more likely transfer fee is £8m.

Vadillo, who has played five times for Spain Under 20s, is one of the brightest prospects in La Liga.
The 18-year-old’s displays have earned slightly generous comparisons with Ronaldo and Arsenal have also considered moving for him.
