IBRA- I CAN PLAY ALONGSIDE CAVANI

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is confident of
forming a productive partnership with
new Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson
Cavani this season.
Cavani joined PSG on a five-year
contract from Napoli in July for a fee
believed to be in the region of
€64million.
His arrival at the Parc des Princes had prompted speculation that Ibrahimovic, who
finished last season with 35 goals in all competitions as PSG cantered to the Ligue 1
title, would be leaving the club.
The Sweden international has since moved to quell those rumours and has urged
Cavani to settle quickly, on and off the pitch.
"I've never played with this guy (Cavani). In my career, it has often been said that I
could not play with another attacker and, in the end things turned out well," he told
L'Equipe .
"We'll see. A new player is going to come in. We will do everything to facilitate his
integration. For his part, he must adapt to his new environment.
"This is normal. Whenever I got in a club, I had to adapt to the players already in
place to coach, to the public, to the city. A new recruit must always adapt his game
to the way his new team plays."
Former France national team manager Laurent Blanc took control at PSG in June
following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.
Ibrahimovic admits he has not spoken with Blanc as yet, but he feels the ex-Bordeaux
boss is inheriting an excellent squad.
"I only resumed training last Thursday. We have not yet spoken together, him and
me," Ibrahimovic added.
"The certainty, it is that he has a fantastic group. He has extraordinary offensive
players, as are my defensive team-mates.
"It is up to him to see how he wants to play. He is the coach. He is the boss. Little
by little, with each session, things will be tweaking tactically."
