QUINN INJURY BLOW FOR HULL

Hull City midfielder Stephen Quinn is set to miss the start of the Premier League season after injuring his hamstring on Tuesday.
Quinn limped off in the first half of Hull's 2-0 friendly defeat to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Braunschweig and is almost certain to miss the opening game at Chelsea on August 17.
The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who starred for Hull in their promotion-winning campaign in the Championship last season, will have scans when he returns to England.
But manager Steve Bruce is not optimistic about Quinn's immediate future.
"It looks a bad one on first impressions so I wouldn't have thought he'll be fit for Chelsea, which is the big blow," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"We'll not know the severity of it until we get home but he feels it just walking.
"That's obviously a worry but I really can't say how long it will be until we scan it."
Bruce bemoaned his luck after the injury, given that midfielders Tom Cairney and Corry Evans were sent out on loan to join Blackburn Rovers last week.
That will leave the Hull boss short of cover in midfield and without Quinn, who has enjoyed an excellent pre-season following a return from toe surgery.
"Sods law it's come in an area where we are short but there you have it," Bruce added.
"I thought he was terrific first half here and I thought he was terrific first half against Dynamo Dresden on Saturday. It's left a bad taste in the mouth."
Bruce also dismissed reports linking Hull with a move for Austrian utility Paul Scharner, a player he worked with at Wigan Athletic.
