Bayern, who won the treble last season, beating Dortmund to both the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League titles, will hope to start the new season by adding another trophy to their name at Signal Iduna Park - the home of Juergen Klopp's side.
However, they will have to do so without two of their key players.
Both Ribery and Neuer have been ruled out after picking up minor knocks in Bayern's 2-0 victory over Barcelona on Wednesday.
Second-choice keeper Tom Starke will likely fill in for Neuer, and manager Pep Guardiola will hope that Bayern's array of options in the midfield will minimize the impact of Ribery's absence.
They are set to take on a Dortmund side that also has their fair share of injury concerns.
Attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and full-back Lukasz Piszczek miss out, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jakub Blaszczykowski are doubts.
