RVP INJURY SHORTEN RED DEVIL'S OPTIONS

Manchester United manager David Moyes is sweating on an injury to Robin van
Persie after the Old Trafford striker came off with a thigh problem during Tuesday’s 3-2 tour
defeat by Yokohama F-Marinos in Japan.
Moyes revealed after Tuesday’s game that Wayne Rooney’s hamstring injury is responding to
treatment back in Manchester and he expects the 27-year-old forward to fly to Stockholm for a
friendly on August 6.
The United manager reiterated that Rooney is not for sale but also said Van Persie has picked
up an injury. ‘We’ve got a couple of wee worries,’ said Moyes.
