NAPOLI HUNT VERRATTI

Napoli have made Marco Verratti a
'monstrous offer' to sign the Paris
Saint-Germain midfielder, according to
his agent.
The 20-year-old surprised many with
his assured performances in his debut
season with PSG, and is reported to
have attracted the interest of a number
of clubs, including Real Madrid and
Juventus.
Verratti's representative Donato Di Campli had previously revealed that improved
contract negotiations with the Ligue 1 champions are ongoing.
PSG are thought to be ready to increase the Italian's wages but Di Campli claims that
Napoli have presented Verratti with an alternative should talks break down.
"We are still some way off an agreement. The negotiations need to continue," Di
Campli told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Talks will continue, even if I'm not that optimistic or hopeful. The fact is that Marco
still has four years to go on his contract here.
"However, he is not short of alternatives. Just this morning a monstrous offer arrived
on behalf of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
"We will meet with PSG again next week. I need to speak with Marco and his family,
then we will see."
