The joyous momentum continues in Kano as the executive governor of the State, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has rewarded players of Kano Pillars with the sum of N500,000 each for winning the 2012/13 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
The ceremony took place at the government house, State road in Kano State on Tuesday.
The Sai Masugida were confirmed champions on the last day of last season in Akure after losing 1-2 to Sunshine Stars in an entertaining encounter.
The governor also dashed out the sum of N750,000 each to all the officials of the Nigerian champions.
Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso could not however, hide his feelings as he expressed how excited he is to supersport.com in Kano
“Kano Pillars made me happy by winning the League title and I have to reward them awesomely.
“To win the Nigeria League title is not an easy task and I'm therefore challenging them to win again this season,” the governor told supersport.com at the government house in Kano.
Kano Pillars' players and officials have also been given a Picanto KIA Car each for winning the 2012/13 premier League title.
