BARDSLEY SUSPENDED INDEFINETLY

Sunderland defender Phil Bardsley has been suspended from the club immediately and indefinitely by manager Paolo Di Canio after mocking the opening day defeat to Fulham on-line.
Sportsmail was the first to break news that Bardsley would be in hot water after his reaction to Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat.
And the strict Sunderland boss has reacted decisively and told Bardsley to stay away from the club’s Academy of Light training ground. It is not known how long his suspension from the club will be implemented.

Bardsley sent a message to supporters who had posted pictures on Instagram writing: `Great opening day. Hahahhahaha hahahhaha!!!’
It provoked a furious reaction from unhappy supporters over the weekend and Bardsley met his manager and other club officials yesterday who demanded an explanation.
Sportsmail understands the former Manchester United defender has been `fully suspended’. He is now expected to be sold within days, with Fulham ironically one of the few clubs interested in taking him off Di Canio’s hands.
It is the second time Bardsley has upset the club, Di Canio and fans on-line.

In May, just days before their final league game at Tottenham Hotspur, he was pictured on the floor of a Newcastle casino covered in £50 notes. He was dropped from the squad and spent the whole summer with the Under 21 squad until he was injured last week in a friendly.
Bardsley was not given a squad number by Di Canio last week. Captain Lee Cattermole, who has not actually played a game under Di Canio, has been treated similarly although he was given the number 33 in the new list. However his familiar Number 6 was given to new signing Cabral, one of five players to make his Sunderland debut at the weekend.
