DORTMUND TO CHANGE EVERYTHING - ZORC

Borussia Dortmund director Michael Zorc has admitted the club must undergo a drastic overhaul next summer following a disappointing end to 2013.

Following the recent announcement of Robert Lewandowski’s summer move to Bayern Munich, the 51-year-old believes the move will provide the perfect opportunity to implement change.

In an interview with WAZ, Zorc said: "We need to change everything. We need to evolve again and again, the departure of one or the other offers the chance to do so."

Zorc also confirmed that the club are already looking for replacements for Lewandowski and highlighted the qualities coach Jurgen Klopp is hoping to identify in potential targets.

“He must temperamentally be suited to us, the sporting quality must be there, and then the transfer must be implemented,” Zorc continued.

“It may also be that we pick two strikers.”

The Dortmund official then ruled out any further departures and called the speculation surrounding the futures of Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan “nonsense”.

He added: “We have learned to deal with it and live.”

BVB enter the New Year in fourth place in the Bundesliga, with Zorc confident the winter break has helped the team regroup.

"I have a feeling that all are now fully recharged and ready to go," said Zorc.
