Borussia Dortmund would have lost two of their best players to arch rivals Bayern Munich by June 2014. Selling most prized assets to competitors has never been a smart move, so what exactly could fans at the Signa Iduna park expect next season? Departure of Marco Reus, Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan or One of the Bender twins?
Or have they reviewed their overall plan and decided to follow in the path of Arsenal FC in England who are now obsessed with profits at the expense of trophies thereby denying their followers the much needed bragging rights?
Only time will tell if Dortmund is moving in the right direction...
