PREMIER LEAGUE: LIVERPOOL DEFENDER GLEN JOHNSON PREDICTS FIERY WELCOME FOR DAVID MOYES

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson admits Sunday's game with Manchester United will have added spice due to the return of David Moyes to Anfield.
The Scotsman was Everton boss the last time he managed there but will instead lead United out against their North West rivals in the lunchtime Sky Live clash.
"A lot of families in this city are split - some are red, some are blue," Johnson told Liverpool's official website.
"I'm sure the Liverpool fans will still see him as part of Everton so I'm sure to those families it will add a little more spice."
Moyes will want to record his first victory at Anfield having failed to do so in 11 years at Everton.

But Liverpool have won their three matches in the Premier League and Capital One Cup this season to leave Johnson in determined mood going into the game.
"Obviously the objective for this weekend is to win. We've started well and we want to keep the run going," he added.
"It's the last game before the international break so it would be good to finish that period with three (league) wins.
"Like I've been saying for many years, the target is to get into the top four - that is our objective, it's what the club wants and needs.
"That will definitely be the aim. We just take each game as it comes and hopefully we'll be there or thereabouts."

DEFENSIVE CHELSEA MADE IT HARD - ROBBEN

The Dutchman is delighted to have overcome the Blues but has admitted that their negative approach made it hard for Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben believes that Chelsea's negative gameplan made it hard for his side to play in their Super Cup victory.

The Bavarians triumphed over Jose Mourinho's side on penalties to after struggling to break down the Londoners for large sections of the game, needing a late Javi Martinez equaliser to force a 2-2 draw and a shoot-out.

"These are always great games to play. It was fierce, particularly in the duels," he told NOS.

"Chelsea are a very defense-minded team and it's difficult to play football. That's their style of play and their quality."

Robben also expressed his disbelief that Chelsea managed to hold firm for much of extra-time, with the German champions having a number of chances turned away by Petr Cech.

"In extra-time, we had so many opportunities, but they didn't go in."

Bayern lost to Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup at the end of July and Robben is delighted to have won his first medal of the season.

"Every trophy is super and we thoroughly deserved this one."

PEP COULDN'T COPE WITH ME - IBRAHIMOVIC

The former Barcelona striker says his old coach did not deal well with his "original" personality and refused to speak to him for much of his time at Camp Nou
Former Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that coach Pep Guardiola "could not cope with him" during his solitary season at the club.

The Swedish star completed a hotly-anticipated €70 million move to Camp Nou in 2009 but left a year later for AC Milan amid rumours of a bust-up with his boss.

He has since voiced his dissatisfaction with Guardiola's coaching and has now claimed that the Spaniard could not handle his "original" personality.

"In my first days, I was told by Guardiola that Barcelona players do not drive fast cars; that they keep a low profile," he told The Times.

"He wanted me to think of myself as just an ordinary guy. But I am Zlatan: I like to be different, to be an original. Guardiola couldn’t cope with that.

"Every time I walked into the coffee room, he walked out. When he went past me in the corridor, he looked at the floor. He is not a man. He can be the best coach in the world, but I don’t care.

"One day, I exploded at him in the dressing room. Even then, he didn’t speak to me.”

Ibrahimovic, now at Paris Saint-Germain, went on to slam Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta for their conformist attitudes.

“Don’t get me wrong: I like Messi and Iniesta. What they can do with the ball is unbelievable," he added.

“But they are so sensible, so quiet. They did exactly what they were told and never complained about anything."

GARCIA: TOO LATE FOR MANCHESTER UNITED TO BUY DE ROSSI

The Giallorossi boss claims that both player and club agreed not to sell past a certain date and that the midfielder will remain for the season, despite the Red Devils' overtures
Roma coach Rudi Garcia says that the Serie A side will resist Manchester United's interest in Daniele De Rossi.

The Red Devils have made overtures to the Giallorossi about the midfielder, who is understood to be available at a price of €11.7 million, but the Frenchman claims that a previously-agreed window to sell him has closed.

"De Rossi is a Roma legend and wants to play for Roma," Garcia told the press.

"We said that, after a certain point in the summer, he'd no longer be for sale.

"He is a man of his word. That date has passed and he will be with us for the entire season."

De Rossi's current contract runs until the summer of 2017 - he is currently one of the Italian top flight's highest earners, with a net salary of €6m a year.

Roma have already sold Erik Lamela and Pablo Osvaldo to Premier League clubs Tottenham and Southampton this summer for fees worth up to €35m and €20m, respectively.
