MILAN SACK SEEDORF!!! APPOINT EX TEAMMATE INGZAGHI

AC Milan have ruthlessly sacked Clarence Seedorf as manager of the first-team and replaced him with his former teammate, Pippo Inzaghi.

Seedorf, who scored a hat-trick in Soccer Aid at the weekend, took over Milan’s first-team midway through last season as they were stuck in the bottom half of Serie A.

He managed to slightly improve results but eight defeats in his 20 matches were enough to persuade the Milan hierarchy to replace him with former legendary striker Inzaghi.

Inzaghi has been in charge of the club’s youth team and his performances have warranted a promotion to the main job at the club.

The Italian scored so many vital goals throughout his glittering career but two of the most important were in the 2007 Champions League final against Liverpool as the Italians gained revenge on Rafael Benitez’s men after losing from a 3-0 lead two years previously in Istanbul.

Inzaghi scored 126 goals in 300 appearances for Milan, is listed fifth in Italy’s greatest ever goal-scorers and only Raul (77) has scored more than him (70) in European competitions.
