Chelsea coach Rui Faria has been handed a six-game stadium ban by the Football Association and £30,000 fine for his outburst at referee Mike Dean during the 2-1 defeat to Sunderland last month.
The Portuguese assistant was incensed by the official's decision to award Jozy Altidore a penalty at Stamford Bridge, which was then converted by Fabio Borini for the match-winning goal on April 19.
Faria had to be restrained by Blues boss Jose Mourinho and other coaching staff as he confronted Dean on the pitch and he subsequently refused to leave the dugout when instructed to do so.
The coach was originally charged with using abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official and improper conduct for his behaviour.
