Gianluigi Buffon turned 36 today and what an illustrious career it has been for the legend so far. A World cup winner, Scudetto's, Coppa Italia's u name it. Only Iker Casillas comes close to this unaging top cat. Unarguably the best shot-stopper between the sticks for more than a decade, Buffon has been able to stay relevant for club and country by reinventing himself with strings of fine saves and imposing presence.
Some might say keepers age like fine wine, but if Buffon were a bottle no doubt he would been produced from the best vines by the very best wine press and processed by the most skilled workers.
A legend who is a role model off and on the pitch...
One of the few remaining generals of a dying breed...
A Chardonnay to be sipped and not gulped...
The Azzuri's well maintained vintage sports car...
The Old lady's Trojan horse who commands from the back...
A true ambassador of soccer...
Gigi Buffon, Juuvi Soccer salutes you!!!
